Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said that a new business licence with a security code will be issued soon. – The Malaysian Insider pic, February 17, 2015.Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will introduce a business licence with better safety features to address falsification of documents.Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said the licence which contains security code will be issued soon."We have identified a premise which used middlemen to obtain a licence which was found to be false as it was not registered with DBKL," he said after presenting premise licences to operators of budget hotels, here today.DBKL introduced the conditional licence to facilitate the issuance of licences to business operators and to enhance enforcement of their premises.The conditional licence issued to new budget hotel operators is a pilot project which will be introduced to other business sectors.Operators who complied with some DBKL conditions will get the conditional licence while those who complied with all conditions will get the full licence.Adnan said the licence holders must comply with the technical conditions set by the Fire and Rescue Department, the Police, Companies Commission of Malaysia and DBKL."The conditional licence holders must comply with all the conditions within six months from the date of obtaining the licence, if not their premises will be closed." – Bernama, February 17, 2015.
